Number 81 Done!!

It feels so good to type that title. Fortunately with our income tax we were able to take care of number 81 on our list, pay off loan. This was a loan where we consolidated some credit cards and now it is paid off. We are now only left with the house payment and the vehicle payments. That makes me really excited!!!!

#67 & #77

Well I posted this list and then old habits crept back in and of course I haven't really done much of anything. But today I decided it was time to kick it into gear. So I came back to my blog and saw that I had completed one thing, well kind of. Number 67 says take stuff to thrift store. You see I had actually bagged up some items to get rid of and they just got stuffed out in out gazebo and they have sat there. Some of these things were bagged a year ago as I unpacked the house. Anyways I did not actually take these things to a thrift store. Instead I gave them to our local BCM for their yard sale to raise money for summer missions. So happy that I actually got them out of the house. I may have also accomplised number 77 as not only did I give the BCM the items I already had bagged but went through and gathered up more items for them to take and if I had to guess I would say I gave them more than 101 items but since I didn't count them I will still mark that undone. My husband is on a Relay for Life team with some friends from work and they are planning a big yard sale in a couple of weeks so I will aim to give them a minimum of 101 items. I am working on a few others and will keep you updated.

Getting Started

Reading a message on a Magical Holiday Home I ran across a challenge to complete 101 specific tasks in 1001 days. I have decided to take the challenge. That is what this blog is all about. On the sidebar you can see my list of 101 things. On this blog I will post updates to my list and share what items I am accomplishing and how I am accomplishing them. It is sure to be a fun ride.

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

You can read more about the 1001 day challenge here.
